ABINGTON, Pa – The Abington women's tennis team (2-0) got its second shutout of the season with a 9-0 win over Delaware Valley University (1-1), Wednesday afternoon.

Honestee Sphabmixay (Philadelphia, PA) and Madison Kimball (Jenkintown, Pa.) won the first match of the day, 8-2 in doubles action.  Next Gabrielle Eberhardt (Cherry Hill, NJ) and Sheena Philip (Philadelphia, Pa.) topped Jessica Oszvart and Melanie Mayhew 8-2. Finally Amanda Shulski (Penndel, Pa.) and Janie Saile (Huntington Valley, Pa.) battled through a tough 8-5 win over the Aggies Natalie Hoffman and Tess Hansler.

Philip clinched the fifth point over Hoffman, 6-2, 6-4 to give Abington the win.

The Nittany Lions return to action September 19, when they host Albright College at 11:00 a.m.
