ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's tennis team traveled to Eastern University and fell to the Eagles 7-2 on Tuesday afternoon.
Abington falls to 4-3 for the season.
The Eagles took the first three points of the match by defeating the Nittany Lions in doubles action.
Honora Hegarty (Abington, Pa.) took a point for Abington in a hard fought 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 victory over Eastern's Emma Paugh. Â
Madison Kimball (Jenkintown, Pa.) earned the Nittany Lions second point with a 6-1, 6-3 decision.
The Nittany Lions will be back on the court on Saturday when they open NEAC play against Wells at noon.
