WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's tennis team won its third straight 9-0 decision in its victory over Penn College on Sunday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions improve to 8-3 overall and remain undefeated in conference at 4-0 for the season.
Abington easily swept the Wildcats in doubles action, but Penn College would battle to earn a point in singles play. At the top flight,
Honora Hegarty won a close decision over Melissa Stabley 6-4, 6-4 and
Sally Phung rallied to win the fifth flight 4-6, 6-4, 10-5 over Jane Herman.
The women will host NCAA Division I opponent Maryland Eastern Shore on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
