READING, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's tennis team clinched its third straight regular season title with a 6-3 victory over Penn State Berks on Saturday afternoon.
Abington finish the season with a 12-3 record and a perfect 7-0 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
Abington battled to three close wins in doubles action with an 8-6 decision in both first and third flights, but a clutch 9-7 victory from
Amanda Shulski and
Janie Saile shut out Berks in doubles.
Berks made a run in singles with three wins but a tight 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 from
Gabrielle Eberhardt sealed the victory.
