ABINGTON, PA. –The Penn State Abington women's tennis team earned its fourth win of the season with a perfect 9-0 win over Penn College on Friday afternoon. The Nittany Lions move to 4-5 for the season and 4-0 in the conference.
In doubles action the Nittany Lions dominated the competition with wins of 8,-2, 8-1, and 8-0 to earn all three points.
The best match of the day was at the top flight in singles with
Honora Hegarty battling to a 6-1, 7-5 victory. Abington took the rest of the of the matches without much struggle.
The Nittany Lions will be back on the court when they travel to Delaware Valley University on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
