CLARKS SUMMIT, PA. – In the NEAC championship the Penn State Abington women's tennis team faced off against top seeded Penn State Berks, but fell 5-1 on Thursday afternoon.

At the top flight of doubles Michelle Mirjani (Great Neck, NY) and Marta Tymchenko upset the favorites in a gritty 8-6 win. In singles action Fatoumata Cisse (Philadelphia, Pa.) fought hard in a battle against Berks Violet Tran, but fell in a close match.

The Nittany Lions will participate in the NEAC Individual portion of the tennis tournament tomorrow.
