ABINGTON, PA. – In the first round of the NEAC Tournament the Penn State Abington women's tennis team hosted Penn State Berks and shut out their rivals 7-0 on Monday afternoon.
Abington started off the game with a doubles sweep.Â
Carly Martinson and
Michelle Ly topped Pen State Berks with a comfortable 8-3 win. Â Next on the docket
Anna Kalinovskaia and
Krystal Maldonado took the second flight with another 8-3 win.
In singles action Abington dominated with a Martinson 7-5, 6-1 win at the top flight. Abington took another win for Kalinovskaia as she defeated Berks 6-1,6-4. Ly took her match at the third flight 6-1, 6-2, and Mulaosmanovic held on for a point with a 6-0, 7-5 at the four spot.
Abington will travel to Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday afternoon for the NEAC Semifinals at 3:00 p.m.
