Baseball, Golf Postponed Today

Abington, Pa. - Mother Nature came away with a pair of victories today as both men's golf and baseball had their competitions postponed due to weather.

The men's golf spring opener at the Eastern University Invitational held at St. Davids Golf Club has been postponed with no make up date currently scheduled. The Nittany Lions will compete next at the Penn State University D-III Challenge on Saturday, April 1 at the Blue & White Course at University Park.

Baseball's home opener against Gwynedd Mercy University was postponed and will be made up at a later date. The Nittany Lions will return to action on Friday, March 17 with a doubleheader against Penn College. Friday's United East opener was originally a single game but with the threat of rain on Saturday, the doubleheader was switched to Friday with a single game now scheduled for Saturday. Friday's game one is set for 12 p.m. at Alverthorpe Park.
