Olayinka-Yusuf Sets New Record at Bill Butler Invitational

West Chester, Pa. – Freshman Teni Olayinka-Yusuf broke her own school record in the 200-meters as the Penn State Abington women's track & field team competed at the annual Bill Butler Invitational hosted by West Chester University on Saturday.

Meet Highlights

* Olayinka-Yusuf broke her own school record of 28.07 seconds in the 200-meters as she finished fifth overall in a time of 27.98 seconds improving on her top mark. Olayinka-Yusuf also finished fifth overall in the 100-meters as she recorded a time of 13.21 seconds just shy of her school record of 13.17 seconds. In addition, she also competed in the 400-meters and finished in a time of 1:12.71 (20^th).

* Freshman Autum Marteine-Jackson set two personal-bests in the 200-meters and 400-meters. In the 200-meters, Marteine-Jackson finished in 32.78 seconds and in the 400-meters recorded a time of 1:19.56.

* Sophomore Kritka Singh set a season-best time in the 800-meters with a time of 3:21.37.

* Sophomore Anisa Wallace recorded two new personal-best in the field events. She finished the shot put with a distance of 19' 4.75" (5.91m) and in the discus throw finished with a distance of 52' 0" (15.86m).

Abington returns to action on Friday, April 18 as the Nittany Lions compete in the Coach Pollard Invitational hosted by Moravian University.
