Abington Competes at ESU’s All-American Meet

RESULTS

East Stroudsburg, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's track & field team competed at the 19th annual All-American Meet hosted by East Stroudsburg University on Friday.
 
Meet Highlights
 
* Sophomore William Lotoza broke his own school record in the 200-meter dash as he finished ninth overall with a time of 23.51 seconds.  His previous best of 23.96 was set just last week at the Bill Bulter Invitational.  Lotoza also took part in the 100-meter dash and finished 12th overall with a time of 11.84 seconds setting a new personal-best.  In addition, Lotoza also competed in the 400-meters and finished sixth overall in a time of 53.48 seconds.
 
* Sophomore Dylan Stuff also broke a record as he topped his own mark in the 110-hurdles with a time of 17.74 to finish second overall. Stuff's previous mark of 18.05 seconds was set last year at the United East Championships. Stuff also placed in the top-10 in the 400-hurdles as he finished seventh overall in a time of 1:05.35.
 
* Junior Marco Isabella recorded two top-10 finishes as he competed in the 800-meters and the 1,500-meters.  Isabella finished sixth overall in the 1,500-meters as he clocked in at 4:34.74 and placed 10th in the 800-meters with a time of 2:12.17.
 
* Junior Nic Worrall highlighted the field events with a ninth place showing in the javelin.  Worrall recorded a distance of 98' 11" (30.15m).
 
* Freshman Aiden Cubbage set two personal-bests in both the 400-meters and the javelin.  In the 400-meters, Cubbage placed 10th overall with a time of 1:07.44.  He then registered a distance of 74' 11" (22.84m) in the javelin to finish 13th overall.
 
* Freshman Anthony Silva also had a pair of new personal-best marks as he competed in the 1,500-meters and the javelin.  In the 1,500, Silva recorded a time of 5:33.39 and finished the javelin throw with a distance of 83' 7" (25.49m).  He finished 12th overall in both events.
 
Next Up
Abington returns to action on Friday, April 25 as the Nittany Lions compete in the Miller Sports Construction Blue Jay Tune-Up hosted by Elizabethtown College.
