Olayinka-Yusuf Breaks Three Records at Ursinus Track & Field Festival

Collegeville, Pa. – Freshman Teni Olayinka-Yusuf broke three school records as the Penn State Abington women's track & field team competed at the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival on Saturday at Patterson Field.

Meet Highlights

* Olayinka-Yusuf set the new standards in the 100-meters and the 400-meters as well as breaking her own school record in the 200-meters in just her third collegiate meet. In the 100-meters, Olayinka-Yusuf finished 10^th overall as she finished in 13.17 seconds breaking the previous school record of 13.31 seconds set by Safara McIntyre in 2023. In the 400-meters, she finished in 1:07.82 (25^th) breaking the school record of 1:12.84 set in the 2023 Widener Invite by Brielle Worrall. Finally, in the 200-meters, Olayinka-Yusuf broke her own school record of 28.28 seconds set last week at the Osprey Open. She finished in 28:07 (18^th) to improve on her mark.

* Sophomore Kritka Singh set two season-best times in the 800-meters and 1,500-meters. In the 800-meters, Singh finished in a time of 3:30.32 and in the 1,500-meters finished in 7:15.96.

Abington returns to action next weekend as the Nittany Lions compete in the annual Bill Butler Invitational hosted by West Chester University.
