Flemming, DePorre Earn All-United East Honors

Latham, N.Y. – Penn State Abington senior Isabella DePorre and sophomore Laurie Flemming were named to the Women's Tennis All-United East Conference (UEC) teams when the conference announced the major awards and All-United East teams on Tuesday. Flemming earned All-United East first team honors in singles, and the duo both received All-United East first team accolades in doubles.

Flemming is earning All-United East first team honors in both singles and doubles for the second straight season. The two-time All-United East selection put together a career season after an impressive rookie campaign a year ago. Flemming finished singles play at top-flight with a 12-2 record, including a 7-1 mark in conference play. She won her final five matches, including eighth of her last nine. Flemming was named the United East Player of the Week for the week ending April 20 as she went a perfect 6-0 in three matches.

DePorre is earning All-United East honors for the first time in her career with first team recognition. The duo of DePorre and Flemming dominated doubles play this year sporting a 12-2 record at first doubles. They finished the season with a five-match winning streak and won eight of their final nine matches, including the postseason. DePorre also was named United East Player of the Week during the season as she received recognition for the week ending Oct. 27.

Abington (9-7, 5-3 UEC) finished the season with nine victories marking the most wins by the Nittany Lions since winning eight matches in 2018-19. The team also qualified for the postseason for the 13^th straight time advancing to the United East First Round.
