Penn State Abington falls to St. Elizabeth 75-55

The Penn State Abington women's basketball team fell to the Screaming Eagles of the College of St. Elizabeth by a deficit of 20 points in a Northeast Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) match up Wednesday night. The Lady Lions falls to 0-18 on the season, 0-12 in the NEAC. The Screaming Eagles improves 12-6 overall, 9-3 in the conference.
 
Jessica Schmidt led Abington with double double, her first of the season, with 15 points and bringing down 10 rebounds. Teammate, sophomore Jacyln Vandiver also had a strong showing with 11 points and dishing out 4 assists.
 
The Lady Lions started the game strong, going point for point in the first half only trailing by two within the last two minutes of the first half. However, St. Elizabeth's dominating offense had them up by 13 ending the half.
 
The second half consisted of all Screaming Eagles, as they opened the half on 12-6 run. Abington struggled to chip away at the deficit throughout the game. The College of St. Elizabeth was lead by senior forward Sabrina Jamolinski, who recorded 23 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. The Screaming Eagles also had the help of Anastasia Feola, who knocked down four 3-pointers, and recorded 17 points.
 
Abington will return to action again on Sunday, February 5th at 2 p.m. to host Keuka College, who are 10-5 overall, 8-3 in the NEAC.
