Jessica Schmidt earned her second double-doubles of the season after posting 18 points and 15 rebounds, however it was not enough to carry the Penn State Abington Nittany Lions as the women's basketball team dropped its second consecutive conference game to Gallaudet University by a score of 55-41.

Kayla Nolan contributed 14 points with five rebounds as senior guard
Janay Winston pulled down 13 rebounds and collected four points on the night.

Abington (1-4, 0-2 NEAC) struggled to find rhythm in the first half, shooting 4-for-29 (13.8 percent) from the field as Gallaudet (3-3, 3-0 NEAC) went on a 19-2 run, keeping the Nittany Lions scoreless in the first eight minutes of the game before the Bison extended the lead to 28-13 at the break.

Despite a 26-point margin for the Bison midway through the second half, the Nittany Lions found their energy and pushed their way into the game with 9:31 remaining as a jumper and a three-pointer by Nolan sparked a 19-2 run the next eight minutes to cut the deficit to just nine points. Gallaudet settled down and managed to make their shots count in the final minutes, extending the lead to 14 points for the final score of 55-41 to remain undefeated in conference play.

Three players scored in double digits for the Bison with Danielle Warren and Isabella Hasty scored 14 points followed by Britny Latham's 13.

The Nittany Lions will return to conference play on December 7
th as they host the Screaming Eagles of the College of Saint Elizabeth for the 1 p.m. tip-off.
