MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's tennis team (8-5, 1-1 NEAC) dropped a 8-1 decision at Penn State Harrisburg (8-3, 2-1 NEAC) on Sunday afternoon. The Nittany Lions couldn't match up with the hometown Lions in NEAC conference play for the Blue and White.
Abington came up blank in singles play, losing all six singles matches to Harrisburg, but the first and second flight didn't go down without a fight.
Jordan Domsky dropped the match 7-6 (11-9), 3-6, 1-6 while fellow teammate
Nigel Hopkinson fought his way through til the end with a 6-4, 1-6, 6-7 (3-7) decision.
In doubles play, Harrisburg managed to sweep two of the three matches, until the tandem of Hopkinson and
Ross Raddi spoiled the party and won a close 8-6 battle over Harrisburg's Vinnie Lepore and Zach Warriner for Abington's lone point of the day.
The Nittany Lions will hit the courts on Wednesday, April 10 at Baptist Bible College in a non-conference match. The first match is set for 4 p.m.
