ABINGTON, Pa. - The Penn State Abington men's tennis team hosted its final non-conference match of the season, but the Nittany Lions couldn't pull out a victory  in a 6-3 loss against the College of Staten Island on Tuesday afternoon. The men fall to 5-5 for the season.
The Dolphins took the first point in the match with an 8-2 win at the third flight, but the Nittany Lions top doubles team responded with an 8-3 win. In a close match the Nittany Lions barely fell in a 8-7 match in the second flight.
Freshman
Michael Litz was first to finish for the Nittany Lions with a 6-2, 6-0Â win to tie the match at 2-2. The Dolphins went on to win the next four points of the match to clinch it, but at the third flight
JT Kling put in a strong 7-5, 2-6, 7-5 performance to win the final point.
Abington will look to rebound when they host Penn College this Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
