Kaminski Wins Green and Gold Invitational

RESULTS

Doylestown, Pa. – Penn State Abington freshman Mason Kaminski won his first collegiate race as he took top honors at the Green and Gold Invitational hosted by Delaware Valley University on Saturday morning.

Race Highlights

* Kaminski has now finished in the top-three in his last four races, including a second-place showing at the Abington Invitational and now a first-place performance at the Green and Gold Invitational. Kaminski finished the 8k-course in a season-best time of 26:56.7.

* Junior Marco Isabella finished 12^th overall in a season-best time of 31:03.5, while freshman Shane McCreary finished 15^th in a time of 31:45.3 to set a season-best as well.

* Freshman Jackie Chen placed 23^rd overall and crossed the finish line in a season-best time of 32:14.8.

* Sophomore Calvin Chen finished 27^th with a personal-best time of 33:48.7.

* Freshmen Dan Kulb and Luke Kochan finished back-to-back. Kulb finished in 34:48.8 (30^th), while Kochan finished in 34:49.1 (31^st). Both recorded new season-best times.

* Freshman Edison Chen recorded a season-best time of 35:39.7 (33^rd).

* Other finishers for Abington include freshman Qiao Xin (40:09.2 – 37^th) and senior Nic Worrall (40:18.4 – 38^th). Both Xin and Worrall recorded season-best times.

Abington returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 18 as the Nittany Lions compete at the annual Border Battle hosted by Rowan University.
