Kaminski Earns All-Region Honors at Metro Regional

Penn State Abington freshman Mason Kaminski became the program's first-ever All-Region honoree after finishing 26th overall at the NCAA Division III Metro Region Championship hosted by Rowan University on Saturday at DREAM Park.
 
Race Highlights
 
* Kaminski capped his rookie campaign making history for the men's cross country program.  He's the first runner to achieve all-region status as he finished the 8k-course in a personal-best time of 25:48.8. Kaminski finished 26th overall out of 179 participants.
 
* Senior Marco Isabella was the next Abington runner to finish the race as he recorded a season-best time of 30:03.2.
 
* Freshmen Shane McCreary and Jackie Chen each recorded new personal-best times as they were competing in their first regional.  McCreary recorded a time of 30:46.2, while Chen finished in 31:46.6.  
 
* Sophomore Calvin Chen also registered a new personal-best as he finished in 32:55.8. 
 
* Other finishes for the Nittany Lions include freshman Luke Kochan (34:21.0) and senior Nic Worrall (38:16.8).
