Kaminski Finishes Third at United East Preview

Media, Pa. – Freshman Mason Kaminski finished third overall at the United East Conference (UEC) Preview hosted by Penn State Brandywine on Friday evening. Brandywine showcased the championship course as they will serve as host of the 2025 United East Championships on Nov. 1.

Race Highlights

* In just his second collegiate race, Kaminski came through with an impressive performance finishing third overall in a time of 28:29.37. Only Gallaudet University's Sevan Ikeda (28:19.53) and Williamson College's Chase Ely (27:05.11) finished ahead of Kaminski.

* Senior Marco Isabella was the next Abington runner to finish as he recorded a time of 33:14.87 (30^th).

* Freshman Jackie Chen finished in 34:04.91 (37^th), while fellow freshman Shane McCreary followed in 34:35.17 (41^st).

* Sophomore Calvin Chen and freshman Dan Kulb finished seconds apart. Chen crossed the finish line in 38:09.65, while Kulb came in at 38:12.69.

* Freshmen Edison Chen (38:33.69 – 64^th) and Luke Kochan (38:38.03) finished back-to-back.

* Other finishes include, freshman Qiao Xin (43:42.31 – 84^th), senior Nic Worrall (44:34.78 – 85^th) and freshmen James Wu (50:22.77 – 95^th) and Ali Wardak (58:55.00 – 98^th).

* As a team, Abington finished sixth overall with a team score 159. Penn State Berks placed first overall with a score of 49 and was followed by Penn College (74) and Williamson (93) to round out the top three.

Next Up
Abington returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 20 as the Nittany Lions host the annual Abington Invitational at Lorimer Park. The men's race kicks off at 9 a.m. and is followed by the women's race at 10 a.m.
