Abington Opens Season at Dutchmen Invitational

RESULTS

Lebanon, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's cross country team opened the 2025 season at the 52^nd annual Dutchmen Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley University at Union Canal Tunnel Park on Saturday morning. A total of 18 teams along with 186 competitors took part in the 5k-race.

Race Highlights

* Junior Nicole Hakman was Abington's top finisher as she finished the 5k-course in a time of 26:11.1 which is her best finish at the Dutchmen Invitational.

* Freshman Nina Maxwell finished in a time of 26:56.1 in her collegiate debut.

* Sophomore Liza Worrall registered a time of 33:18.6, while sophomore Kinah Britton finished in 38:09.5.

* Senior Teni Olayinka-Yusuf recorded a time of 41:35.4 in her first cross country race, while sophomore Autumn Marteine-Jackson followed in 41:40.0 in her first race as well.

* Other finishers for the Nittany Lions included, seniors Brianaliz Jimenez (42:01.7) and Yeva Amirkhanyan (51:24.3).

Abington returns to action on Friday, Sept. 12 as the Nittany Lions compete in the United East Preview hosted by Penn State Brandywine.
